'The Spirit of Christmas' is a collection of four modern carols for SATB and piano. This collection includes The Spirit of Christmas, Will He Live in Peace?, Let Us Celebrate and The Meaning of Christmas, and is particularly suitable for young choirs. Follow the links for audio and score samples (please note that audio samples have been recorded with all female voices, and therefore some lower parts have been transposed for demonstration purposes only).
This piece was originally written in 2001 as a Soprano and Alto duet, and was rearranged in 2003 for a full mixed voice choir.
This was written at the turn of the Millennium to mark the 2000th anniversary of the birth of Christ.
Written in 2002, this is an unaccompanied piece, but has been arranged with an optional piano part.
This is a more modern style of song, and has a contemporary feel about it.
Also available is a separate piece entitled 'The Christmas Truce'
This piece was written in 2006, and as the title suggests, it was inspired by the events of The First World War, and the temporary cease fire on Christmas Day 1914.
