Listen to the Music is a collection of ten songs suitable for children of junior, or lower senior school ages, and covers a wide range of subjects and musical styles.  Some can be sung as solo pieces, and others as duets, but all can be performed by groups or choirs.  There are also optional harmonies on most of the songs, so they can be sung as simple melodies or more complex pieces.  All songs are arranged for voices with guitar or piano accompaniment.  Follow the links for audio and score samples.

1.  Listen to the Music is an uplifting song, which has optional harmonies on the verses and chorus.

2.  I Need a Friend has two vocal lines, so it can be sung as a duet, or by two groups.

3.  Thank You is a short song, which explores our senses, and how they affect our day-to-day life.

4.  Where's my Plimsoll? is a humorous blues song about losing that all-important part of the P.E. kit!

5.  It's not too Late is set in the future, and reflects on how we could have saved the environment if we had been more careful and resourceful in the past.

6.  Just Tell Someone is about a child witnessing a little girl being bullied, and how they resolve the situation.

7.  Monday Morning is a lighthearted Rock 'n Roll song about that 'Monday Morning' feeling and the reluctance to get out of bed.

8  Sing a Lullaby has two verses with different tunes, which are sung together to form the third verse.

9.  Santa's Story is a Christmas song telling the story of Santa Claus and his reindeer.

10.  Say Goodbye is a song that can be used to 'Say Goodbye' when leaving school, or any situation, to move on to another.

Listen to the Music is supplied as a package which contains a songbook with melody and guitar/piano chords, ten individual lyric sheets which can be photocopied as required, and a CD containing all ten songs for easy learning, as well as performance tracks for all songs.
